My Message to You - Karen Vogtner, PrincipalThe mission statement of St. John the Evangelist Catholic School hangs proudly in the foyer of our school:We are the SJE family with Jesus in the center of all we do. He guides us in leadership, scholarship and joyful service to others. Grounded in the Catholic faith, St. John the Evangelist Catholic School nurtures the God-given potential of each student, providing a rigorous academic and spiritual foundation forming courageous and compassionate leaders. As principal, when I speak to prospective parents about SJE, I characterize the school community as family.

SJE is an educational setting with Christ at the very heart of all that we do. We are first and foremost a Catholic school. Academics and high expectations are important. Through faith experiences like liturgies, prayer services, adoration, Reconciliation, acts of charity and service, our students leave us well grounded in core knowledge and gospel values. New Principal Message To Students

Pius, Our Lady of Mercy, Marist and other private high schools confirm the success of our programs. The Valedictorian, Salutatorian, Christian Service Award Winner and Christian Athlete Award Winner at Our Lady of Mercy High School were all SJE alumni. Our students not only excel academically, but they are leaders within their school community. They exemplify the values we strive to instill here at SJE!I also tell prospective parents that SJE is composed of a caring group of teachers and support staff.

We care about helping students achieve academic excellence, but we know that teaching about respect, individual responsibility and social skills is equally important. We strive to create an environment where students feel safe, comfortable, and respected.SJE is blessed with an active and supportive parent community. Parent involvement in the school exemplifies a strong commitment to Catholic education and contributes to the success and excellence of our school.
