Is one of the most anticipated games of the year. Developed by, who take over the work begun by BioWare in the original KOTOR, The Sith Lords is a darker tale than the first, with deeper philosophical explorations. If you think the difference between Jedi and Sith is merely good versus evil, KOTOR 2 may change your mind. There are motivations for both sides that go well beyond simple morality. That is what sets KOTOR 2 apart from all other Star Wars games - it forces you to reconsider the notion of Jedi, Sith, and both roles within the galaxy.Yesterday we took a look at how your character's actions and words influence your fellow party members.
Now that you know how to lead your teammates down the Light or Dark path, it's time to check out how your character will maintain the proper course. Whether you want to be Light or Dark Side, there are numerous options in both dialogue and deed throughout KOTOR 2. At almost every turn you can choose malevolence of benevolence, cruelty over kindess, selfishness over selflessness.To give you an idea of what to expect in KOTOR 2, Obsidian has provided IGN with some first-hand accounts of some of the events in The Sith Lords. These are by no means the only events that will shape your character's path.
They are just a small example of the choices that await. Throughout the abandoned mining facility on Peragus, the player will be faced with several choices in uncovering the mystery of what happened to the miners there. Since this is the first time the player will be faced with 'good' or 'evil' options, we ease them in with subtle choices like telling your party members to 'stay put' when they might be in obvious danger, or outright lying to them regarding your motivations for getting off the facility. All of those evil choices will only give a small Dark Side hit to your character, since at this point in the story we need to be careful how much evil-ness we allow the character to have.

The space station and the planet are a mess, little or no law to speak of, and what little security there is has enough trouble keeping the peace. The planet itself is a big graveyard, now the site of the greatest restoration project in Republic history, if the slow-witted Ithorians had their way. Fortunately, there are a lot of other interests on the station. With a lot of credits for an ex-Jedi with a flexible moral code. With those credits, I was able to cash them in for more equipment. ( 4 Dark Side points). In a run-in just outside a local cantina, some thugs are threatening some of the peaceful locals.

There may be several options ranging from standing up for the citizen and fighting off the thugs, helping the thugs incapacitate and mug the citizen, or even helping the thugs, and then backstabbing them once they think that you're an ally. In this case, I've helped rob the citizen, and I've made the choice to agitate the thugs as well, so they must be engaged in combat. At this point in the game the character has made several evil choices and many neutral ones, but is beginning to show the Dark Side corruption in his skin and face.
