I was using my Dell Inspiron m5040 when it suddenly turned off. The charger was connected, the green light on the charger was lit, and I had plenty of battery power. After several hours I was able to get it to turn back on.

A few days later the same thing happened and it will not respond whatsoever. I tried removing the battery and holding the power button for 30 seconds. No change.Also, potentially significant detail, my daughter was tugging on my ipod charger which was plugged in the usb slot at the time of the first power loss.
